Hotel Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel and ensure efficient service delivery across all departments.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high guest-service standards, monitoring operational performance, controlling costs and ensuring compliance with established hotel policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel and ensure smooth coordination across all departments.
• Supervise hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance and other operational units.
• Ensure high standards of guest service and customer satisfaction are consistently maintained.
• Handle guest complaints, concerns and escalated service issues professionally and promptly.
• Supervise, coordinate and evaluate hotel staff to ensure productivity and adherence to operational standards.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, discipline and compliance with hotel policies.
• Oversee room reservations, check-ins, check-outs, occupancy and overall guest experience.
• Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, operational costs and other key performance indicators.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational budgets and cost-control measures.
• Monitor hotel supplies, equipment and inventory to minimise wastage and unnecessary expenditure.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, facilities, public areas and service areas to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure the hotel maintains appropriate standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, security and maintenance.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, contractors and external service providers where required.
• Work with relevant teams to improve occupancy, revenue generation, customer retention and overall hotel performance.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement measures to improve service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, hygiene, regulatory and hospitality requirements.
• Prepare and submit regular operational and performance reports to management.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of hotel staff.
• Maintain professional relationships with guests, employees, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree, HND, or, OND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in hotel or hospitality operations, with previous supervisory or managerial experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest relations and hospitality standards.
• Experience managing and coordinating multiple departments is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, team management and decision-making skills.
• Good understanding of cost control, inventory management and basic financial management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hotel/property management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage operational challenges effectively.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and customer-service orientation.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve guest complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate operational, financial, staffing, and guest-related records.
• Minimise avoidable operational disruptions, service failures, and guest complaints.
• Identify opportunities to improve hotel performance, guest experience, and overall profitability.

Work Arrangement:

• The successful candidate must be able to work on-site at the assigned "Our Client" location in Berger or Abule Egba, Lagos. Working days, hours, probation terms, and any branch rotation will be confirmed in the employment offer.
