Field Sales Representative (Plastic Manufacturing Company)

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the company’s plastic products.
- Conduct field visits to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, dealers and other potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Promote the company’s plastic products and achieve assigned sales targets.
- Develop new customer accounts and expand market coverage within Lagos and Ibadan.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate sales terms and follow up on customer orders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing and customer preferences.
- Coordinate with the production, logistics and accounts teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support effective credit control.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer visits, orders and collections.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide market feedback to management.
- Identify opportunities to increase product distribution, market share and customer retention.
Requirements
- HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience in field sales, preferably within the plastic manufacturing industry.
- Experience selling plastic products such as household plastics, packaging materials, plastic containers or related products is an advantage.
- Proven ability to acquire new customers, manage distributors and achieve sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of market development, distribution channels and competitor analysis.
- Ability to work independently, travel within assigned territories and deliver results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools.
