Logistics Officer

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy and speed, using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other data programs.
• Conduct regular mail communications, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all correspondences.
• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring that all data is up-to-date, accurate, and meets organizational standards.
• Operate office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, and printers with proficiency.
• Exhibit a high typing speed coupled with a focus on precision to manage data entry tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation to maintain professional document standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company records and information.
• Show strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and stay focused on assigned tasks without supervision.
• Engage in basic English communication with team members and other departments to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Perform routine backups and ensure data integrity through regular verification processes.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues and perform basic maintenance of data processing equipment.

Person Specifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor`s Degree/HND preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a logistics officer within an FMCG industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, and communication (oral and written);
• Team player that is creative, process oriented, and committed
• Knowledge and use of Basic MS Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Committed and reliable
• A self-starter who demonstrate a high level of resilience
• Highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
• Proven experience as a data entry clerk
• Inventory Management & Reconciliation skills
• Strong knowledge of supply chain & Logistics
• Strong knowledge of the dynamics of retail distribution and order fulfilment.
