Logistics Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee the company’s logistics, transportation, dispatch, inventory movement, and delivery operations.
• The successful candidate will ensure that goods, materials, and personnel are moved efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining excellent delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily logistics and transportation operations.
• Manage deliveries, dispatch riders, drivers, vehicles, and logistics vendors.
• Develop efficient delivery routes and schedules to minimize delays and transportation costs.
• Monitor the movement of goods from warehouses to customers, branches, or other locations.
• Ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
• Track vehicle and driver activities and maintain accurate logistics records.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, fuel usage, and documentation.
• Manage logistics-related expenses and ensure proper cost control.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, drivers, warehouse teams, and other departments.
• Ensure proper handling, loading, transportation, and delivery of goods.
• Resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, delays, and logistics challenges promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and logistics expenses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
• Evaluate logistics performance and prepare regular operational reports for management.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce operational costs.
• Supervise and evaluate logistics staff, drivers, dispatch riders, and other relevant personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience managing drivers, dispatch riders, vehicles, or third-party logistics providers.
• Good knowledge of Lagos routes and transportation operations is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of logistics planning, inventory movement, and delivery coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple deliveries and priorities simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other logistics/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Must be proactive, responsible, and highly organized.

Salary
N300,000 Monthly, with the possibility of additional company benefits / incentives depending on the employer's structure.
