The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria nationals for the position below at the Institute\u2019s Headquarters in Ibadan.
Position: Research Technician II (2 Positions)
Contract: 2-years renewable contract
Location: Ibadan
Closing Date: 12 June 2026
DUTIES:
Drive within and outside IITA, convey staff and casual to and from field.Supervise subordinate staff, Polytechnic and College of Agriculture students on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).Assist in planning and establishment of laboratory, screenhouse and field trials and data collectionAssist in data collection and Trial management.Perform screenhouse trial management and making crosses. Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
OND in Crop Production, Agricultural Science or related field with a minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must have:
Basic knowledge of crop management operations in experimental fields. Ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure.Good interpersonal relationships with other colleagues. Good time management. Knowledge of cowpea crosses.Benefits
