Content Creator & Social Media Manager

About the role

• We are launching Africa's next-generation social and commerce platform, bringing together content creation, community and commerce in one experience.
• The brand empowers people to connect, create, share, discover, and shop, while enabling creators and businesses to grow their audiences, reach customers, and unlock new opportunities.
• We are looking for a creative, trend-savvy Content Creator & Social Media Manager to tell our story, grow our online and offline presence, and create content people genuinely want to watch and share.
• You'll work closely with the Dept Head and cross-functional team to build excitement around the platform, engage our community, and help make the brand one of Africa's most recognised consumer technology brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop content calendars and execute day-to-day social media activities across all channels.
• Produce short-form videos, behind-the-scenes content, creator spotlights, product demos, interviews, and trend-driven content.
• Manage and grow the online communities by responding to comments, messages, and conversations.
• Work closely with creators, influencers, and partners to produce engaging content and campaigns.
• Cover launches, activations, community events, and other brand experiences.
• Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats.
• Track content performance and optimize content using data and audience insights.
• Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, messaging, and creative direction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in content creation and social media management for a consumer brand, media company, agency, or technology startup.
• Proven ability to create engaging short-form content that drives reach, engagement, and community growth.
• Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and audience engagement.
• Experience creating content using smartphones and professional cameras.
• Basic video editing and content production skills.
• Highly creative, organised, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for social media, digital culture, entertainment, creators, and consumer technology.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with creators, influencers, or online communities.
• Experience managing social media for a consumer app or technology brand.
• Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling tools.
• Photography or on-camera presentation skills.

Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 per month.
