Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused, and results-driven Retail Branch Manager to oversee the overall operations, sales performance, and profitability of the retail branch.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring excellent customer service, managing branch operations, maintaining optimal inventory levels, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and operational standards.
• The Retail Branch Manager will oversee all branch activities, including sales, customer experience, inventory management, cash control, and people management, while ensuring the achievement of business objectives and sustainable profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail branch to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch revenue, gross margin, and profitability targets.
• Drive customer acquisition, retention, and repeat business through exceptional customer service and relationship management.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and motivate branch employees to achieve individual and team performance goals.
• Monitor daily sales performance, conversion rates, average transaction values, and other key retail performance metrics.
• Ensure excellent customer experience by promptly resolving customer complaints, inquiries, and escalations.
• Oversee inventory management, stock accuracy, replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product availability and sales.
• Ensure effective cash management, daily reconciliations, and safeguarding of company assets.
• Monitor stock movement and coordinate with the warehouse and procurement teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze sales trends, customer buying patterns, and market conditions to identify opportunities for business growth.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and sales reports.
• Collaborate with Finance, Warehouse, Service Centre, HR, Marketing, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless branch operations.
• Conduct regular branch inspections to ensure cleanliness, product presentation, security, and adherence to retail standards.
• Manage employee scheduling, attendance, leave planning, and overall workforce productivity.
• Drive employee engagement, performance management, coaching, and succession planning within the branch.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company professionally in dealings with customers, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in retail operations, branch management, or sales management.
• Proven track record of achieving sales, profitability, and operational performance targets.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, cash handling, and customer service.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret sales reports and operational metrics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is an added advantage.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, or extended hours when business demands require.
