- Conduct legal due diligence on land and property acquisitions.
- Draft. review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, Deeds of Assignment, Sale agreernents, Lease Agreements, and other legal documents.
- Verify land titles, ownership. and property documentation
- Liaise with government agencies, land registries, survey offices. and regulatory authorities for title perfection and statutory approvals.
- Provide legal advice on property transactions, corporate matters, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all company operations comply with relevant real estate and corporate laws.
- Manage legal documentation and maintain accurate legal records.
- Handle customer legal documentation and resolve documentation-related issues.
- Coordinate litigation matters and work with external solicitors where necessary.
- Identify legal risks and recommend practical solutions to management
- Support the HR and other departments on legal and compliance matters when required.
Requirements
- LL.B degree from a recognised university and must be called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years post-call practice experience and 3 years' experience in real estate,
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Land use Act. property law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving. and legal research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
