Electrical Technician

Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify electrical hazards and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of electrical maintenance activities and repairs.
- Provide technical support during emergency power outages and equipment breakdowns.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components to minimize production downtime.
- Diagnose electrical faults in production machinery and plant equipment.
- Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns during production.
- Monitor electrical control panels and ensure they function correctly.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to ensure safety and reliability.
- Monitor power supply systems, generators, and distribution boards.
- Work closely with mechanical technicians, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Provide technical support during production and maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years practical experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Have good knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and automation processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Be physically fit and capable of working in a factory.
Salary / Benefits
- N250,000 - N300,000 / month.
