Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generators, engines, alternators, and auxiliary systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults on generators. Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and performance checks of generator units. Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, cooling system checks, and fuel system maintenance. Troubleshoot starting problems, overheating, low power output, abnormal noise, and vibration issues. Inspect and maintain fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and battery systems. Install, align, test, and commission new generator sets and related equipment. Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify faults and confirm repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment history logs. Monitor generator performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime. Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for maintenance activities.
