Account Officer

Summary
- We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Account Officers to join our team in Surulere, Lagos.
- This role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accurate accounting records and financial files.
- Analyze budgets and prepare detailed expense reports.
- Examine bank statements and reconcile them with general ledger entries.
- Review and verify employee expense claims.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies and relevant tax regulations.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Ensure timely processing of payments and financial transactions.
- Assist in internal and external audit exercises.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar accounting/finance role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems).
- Good understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Candidates residing inSurulere and its environswill have an added advantage.
- Ability to work alternate saturdays in a month.
