Job Summary
- The St. Bridget's Schools is seeking passionate, dedicated, and qualified Junior Secondary School Teachers to join our academic team.
- Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classrooms effectively, assessing student progress, and supporting the overall academic and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the approved curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans, notes, assignments, tests, and other instructional materials
- Assess and monitor students’ academic progress
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline
- Provide appropriate academic support to students
- Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and attendance
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and active participation in learning
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school management
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of NCE, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, the relevant subject area, or a related field
- Previous teaching experience at the Junior Secondary School level is an advantage
- Good knowledge of the relevant subject and current curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to prepare and deliver engaging lessons
- Passion for teaching and developing young learners
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
Added Advantage
- TRCN registration
- Experience preparing students for BECE or other relevant examinations
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and educational technology
- Ability to teach more than one relevant subject.
