Job Summary
- The Steward / Kitchen Porter will support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, washing kitchen equipment and utensils, and ensuring a clean and hygienic back-of-house environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitise plates, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, work areas, and storage areas.
- Assist with waste disposal.
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation duties.
- Keep cleaning equipment and supplies organised.
- Follow proper hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Assist with receiving and
- storing kitchen supplies when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen stewarding or cleaning experience is an advantage.
- Good physical stamina.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hygiene habits.
- Reliable, hardworking, and disciplined.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
