About the Role
- Premium E-commerce Support Service Ltd is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Procurement, Media Buying & Planning to lead the procurement, planning, negotiation, and execution of outdoor advertising media across Nigeria.
- The role is critical to the agency's ability to secure competitive media rates, maximise billboard inventory, protect campaign margins, negotiate strategic supplier partnerships, and deliver exceptional value to clients.
- The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising ecosystem, including billboards, digital OOH, transit advertising, street furniture, activations, and other outdoor media formats.
- This is a highly commercial role. You will be expected to negotiate aggressively, control costs, build supplier leverage, identify profitable media opportunities, and ensure every campaign delivers against client expectations and agency margins.
Key Responsibilities
Proc urement & Supplier Management:
- Develop and implement the agency's procurement strategy for outdoor advertising media and related services.
Media Buying & Planning:
- Lead the planning and buying of OOH media inventory for client campaigns.
Commercial & Profitability Management:
- Protect and improve gross margins across all media buying and procurement activities.
Media Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate database of available billboard and OOH advertising assets.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
- Lead commercial negotiations with media owners, suppliers, landlords, production companies, installers, and other third parties.
Campaign Execution:
- Coordinate with Business Development, Creative, Account Management, and Operations teams to translate client briefs into executable media plans.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise the Procurement, Media Buying and Planning team.
Market Intelligence:
- Monitor developments and trends within Nigeria's outdoor advertising and OOH industry.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, Advertising, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Procurement/Supply Chain or Advertising/Media is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years' experience in Procurement, Media Buying, Media Planning, OOH Advertising, Advertising Operations, or a related commercial role.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Strong experience working within an Outdoor/OOH, Billboard, Advertising, Media, or Creative Agency.
- Proven experience negotiating significant media and supplier contracts.
Commercial Track Record:
The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
- Strong negotiation and cost-saving abilities.
- Experience managing substantial media procurement budgets.
- Strong network of billboard/media owners across Lagos and preferably other major Nigerian cities.
- Ability to secure premium media locations at competitive rates.
- Strong understanding of agency margins and commercial profitability.
Remuneration
- Salary Range: N350,000 – N500,000 Net Monthly
- Additional Benefits: Performance Bonus plus HMO and 13th Month
