Sales & Shop Operations Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, hardworking, and customer-focused Sales & Shop Operations Assistant to join our healthy foods store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to run the day-to-day operations of the shop , attend to customers, process sales, manage online customer enquiries, and assist with the preparation, packaging, and presentation of our healthy food products.

Our products include fresh fruit juices, granola, Greek yogurt, dried pineapples, and other healthy food products .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome and attend to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand customers' needs and recommend suitable products.
• Explain products, ingredients, prices, and available options to customers.
• Process customer orders and payments accurately.
• Promote products and encourage repeat purchases.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Online Customer Management

• Respond promptly to customer enquiries received through WhatsApp, Instagram, social media, and other online platforms.
• Take and confirm online orders.
• Provide customers with accurate information about products, prices, availability, and delivery/pick-up options.
• Follow up with customers where necessary.
• Maintain professional and friendly communication with online customers.
• Help convert online enquiries into actual sales.

Shop Operations

• Assist with the general running and management of the shop.
• Keep the shop clean, organised, attractive, and properly stocked.
• Monitor product availability and inform management when stock is running low.
• Arrange products neatly and ensure prices are clearly displayed.
• Receive and properly store products and supplies.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
• Keep basic records of sales, orders, stock, and other shop activities.
• Ensure customers receive their orders correctly and promptly.

Food Preparation & Production Support

• Assist with the preparation and packaging of healthy food products.
• Assist with making and packaging granola.
• Assist with preparing and packaging Greek yogurt.
• Assist with preparing fresh juices.
• Assist with drying, packaging, and storing dried pineapples.
• Follow all hygiene, cleanliness, food-handling, and packaging procedures.
• Ensure products are properly labelled, packaged, and presented.
• Maintain cleanliness of preparation areas and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• No previous experience is required. Training will be provided.
• Must be friendly, polite, and comfortable interacting with customers.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to use WhatsApp and basic social media platforms.
• Basic ability to use a smartphone and handle online messages.
• Must be organised and able to multitask.
• Must be honest, reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Must be willing to learn food preparation and shop procedures.
• Must have good personal hygiene and maintain a clean appearance.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, food production, retail, or a similar role is an advantage but not compulsory .

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

Salary: ₦60,000 monthly
