Production Manager

Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Production Manager who can take ownership of the production floor, workforce, machinery, production planning, material utilisation, quality, output and overall factory efficiency.
- The ideal candidate must be hands-on and experienced in managing an actual manufacturing facility, rather than being purely administrative.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily, weekly and monthly production activities.
- Ensure production targets and timelines are achieved.
- Manage production personnel, manpower and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to production processes and standards.
- Monitor raw material and machinery utilisation.
- Identify and reduce production downtime and inefficiencies.
- Coordinate machine maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Reduce material wastage and production losses.
- Work closely with Quality Control to maintain product standards.
- Coordinate with Sales, Stores, Procurement and Logistics.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Monitor production costs and productivity.
- Maintain factory discipline, safety and housekeeping standards.
- Train and develop production personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement across production processes.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–8 years of practical manufacturing / production experience.
- Proven experience managing a factory / production facility and workforce.
- Experience with automated or semi-automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience in steel, construction materials, insulation, roofing, plastics, chemicals, engineering or related manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, material utilisation and wastage control.
- Experience monitoring machinery, downtime and maintenance.
- Understanding of production costing and productivity.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and accountability skills.
- Willingness to be actively involved on the factory floor.
