Digital Content Creator

Description

• The Digital Content Creator will plan, produce and optimize compelling digital content that communicates AHNi’s mission, demonstrates program results, and strengthens engagement with communities, donors, government stakeholders, partners and the public.
• S/He will translate technical information, program evidence and community experiences into clear, accurate multimedia content across AHNi’s digital platforms, working closely with communications specialist, program and technical teams while ensuring all published materials meet organizational standards for quality, branding, safeguarding and ethical storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging multimedia content (articles, infographics, videos, presentations) to support campaigns and initiatives.
• Manage the organization’s social media platforms, ensuring timely updates and engaging content.
• Create and schedule posts across multiple digital channels.
• Collaborate with field team to transform technical information into audience-friendly content.
• Monitor engagement and respond to online community interactions.
• Track and analyze digital engagement metrics to improve reach and impact.
• Plan and manage content calendars for social media platforms and websites
• Recommend strategies for improving digital engagement and reach

Minimum Recruitment Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, Public Relations, Film Production, Graphic Design, or a related field
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in digital content creation, multimedia production or communications
• A strong portfolio demonstrating visual design and video production skills, with practical experience in photography, video recording, audio capture and editing
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator) and video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or comparable)
• Working knowledge of social media publishing, scheduling and analytics tools, website content management systems, and basic search engine optimization (SEO)
• Experience translating technical or complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messages, and managing multiple stakeholders under simultaneous deadlines
• Core competencies: storytelling and creativity, accuracy and judgement, audience awareness, collaboration, planning and accountability, respect and inclusion, and adaptability
• Desirable: NGO/public health/development sector experience, familiarity with donor visibility requirements, field interview experience, and knowledge of social and behavior change communication.
