Salon Front Desk and Social Media Manager

Job Description

• We are seeking a friendly, organised, and creative Salon Front Desk and Social Media Officer to manage front desk activities and support the salon’s online presence.

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers, attend to their enquiries, explain available services and prices, coordinate appointments, and direct customers to the appropriate stylist or beauty professional.
• The candidate will also be responsible for creating engaging content, taking pictures and videos of salon services, and managing the salon’s social media pages to increase online visibility, engagement, and customer enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting or contacting the salon.
• Welcome customers, understand their needs, explain available services and prices, and direct them to the appropriate stylist or service section.
• Respond to customer enquiries, provide information about salon services, and maintain a friendly and professional customer experience.
• Manage appointments, coordinate customer flow, and communicate with stylists to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Take pictures and videos of hairstyles, salon activities, completed services, and other relevant content for social media.
• Manage and update the salon’s social media pages, including posting content regularly and maintaining an active online presence.
• Develop creative content ideas around trending hairstyles, beauty tips, transformations, customer experiences, and salon promotions.
• Respond to comments, direct messages, and enquiries on social media, providing accurate information about services, prices, and bookings.
• Monitor social media engagement and identify content opportunities that can attract new customers and encourage repeat visits.
• Maintain basic records of customer appointments, enquiries, and bookings.
• Support other front desk and administrative activities as required.

Requirements

• First Degree in any relevant discipline.
• Previous experience in front desk operations, customer service, social media management, or a related role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to attend to customers, explain service prices clearly, and coordinate appointments.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Ability to take clear pictures and videos using a smartphone.
• Ability to create engaging social media content and write simple, attractive captions.
• Basic knowledge of content creation and editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar applications is an advantage.
• Friendly, organised, creative, and customer-focused.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and pay attention to details.
• Previous experience working in a salon, spa, or beauty-related business is an added advantage.
• Proximity to Lekki, Lagos, is strongly preferred.
