General Manager

Description

• We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to take full responsibility for Paramount Furniture’s overall business performance, including production, sales, and operations.
• Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead the business with a strong focus on operational excellence, efficient manufacturing, and profitable growth across our retail, contract, and institutional sales channels.
• This is a senior leadership role requiring proven experience in general management within the furniture manufacturing industry.

You will be directly responsible for

• Running the factory to standard, managing output, quality, materials, and delivery timelines.
• Getting and driving sales across retail, corporate, hospitality contract, and institutional or developer channels.
• Setting and enforcing quality standards across materials, production, and finished goods.
• Recruiting, structuring, and managing teams across production, sales, and administration.
• Maintaining proper records, controls, and regular reporting to the Managing Director. Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Run factory operations to standard, managing output, materials, and delivery timelines.
• Set and enforce quality control standards across production, from incoming materials through finishing and final inspection before dispatch.
• Investigate quality failures, customer complaints, and returns, and put corrective measures in place.
• Drive sales across retail, corporate and hospitality contract, and institutional or developer channels.
• Recruit, structure, and manage teams across production, quality control, sales, and administration.
• Set and monitor targets across production output, quality and defect rates, sales revenue, and profitability.
• Negotiate major supplier, client, and contract terms.
• Maintain proper records, controls, and reporting systems across the business.
• Represent the business with clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Report regularly to the Managing Director on performance across all functions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree
• 10+ years of experience, including a senior general management or business leadership role in furniture manufacturing or related industries.
• Proven track record owning full P&L responsibility across both production and commercial functions.
• Strong background in manufacturing or production operations, including materials management and output planning.
• Hands-on experience establishing and enforcing quality control systems in a production environment, including inspection standards, defect tracking, and corrective action.
• Strong background in sales leadership, ideally spanning retail, B2B contract, and institutional channels.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams across multiple functions.
• Strong financial management and budgeting discipline.
• Working knowledge of the furniture and interiors market in Abuja and surrounding markets.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
