Delivery Driver

Job Summary

• The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of medical products and equipment to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• The role requires a highly responsible individual who is physically fit, technology-savvy, and capable of driving multiple vehicle types while ensuring excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company cars, tricycles, and trucks to deliver blood, oxygen, medical consumables, and equipment to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe completion of all deliveries.
• Load, unload, and lift heavy medical items, including oxygen cylinders, cartons of medical consumables, and medical equipment, while adhering to safety procedures.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after every trip (fuel, tyres, brakes, engine oil, lights, etc.).
• Properly secure all products during transportation to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Use mobile applications for dispatch updates, navigation, route tracking, and delivery confirmation.
• Report accidents, delays, vehicle faults, or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of assigned vehicles.
• Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with hospitals, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• Valid and current Nigerian Driver's License (mandatory).
• Minimum of 2–3 years' professional driving experience.
• Must be able to confidently drive a car, tricycle, and manual truck and even a bike{optional}
• Must own and be proficient in using an Android smartphone.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items such as oxygen cylinders, cartons of medical consumables, and medical equipment.
• Must have excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic regulations.
• Must be familiar with the Idumota Medical Market and surrounding medical supply hubs.
• Strong knowledge of GPS navigation and dispatch applications.
• Candidates must reside within or very close to Onipanu, Lagos.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare logistics, cold-chain distribution, or medical deliveries.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Experience using logistics or dispatch management systems.
