Electrical Technician

Job Summary
- The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the production processes.
- The role ensures continuous and safe operation of electrical components, machinery, and control systems within the manufacturing facility of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and production machines.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components to minimize production downtime.
- Diagnose electrical faults in production machinery and plant equipment.
- Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns during production.
- Monitor electrical control panels and ensure they function correctly.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to ensure safety and reliability.
- Monitor power supply systems, generators, and distribution boards.
- Work closely with mechanical technicians, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Provide technical support during production and maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- OND, Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years practical experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
