Security Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor entrance and exit points and ensure proper access control for staff, guests, and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the restaurant, lounge, parking areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Check bags and screen guests professionally where required, in line with company policy.
- Maintain a security logbook and accurately record incidents, visitors, and activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches.
- Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to company property.
- Ensure CCTV systems are monitored and report any suspicious activity to management.
- Assist with crowd control and maintain order during busy periods and events.
- Support opening and closing procedures to ensure premises are properly secured.
- Liaise with management, police, and emergency services when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing safety and security rules.
- Report safety hazards, faulty equipment, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Security Officer, Guard, or similar role is required.
- Experience working in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Valid security license/training certificate is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of security procedures, surveillance, and emergency response.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and work shifts.
- Alert, responsible, and professional with good communication and observation skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
