Executive Assistant to the CEO

an Education / Teaching / Training Institution

Role Overview

  • The Executive Assistant (EA) to the CEO will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the CEO’s professional and personal commitments.
  • This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual capable of managing complex schedules, handling confidential correspondence, and supporting high-level engagements.
  • The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative, logistical, and project support, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, flawless discretion, and the ability to represent the CEO with the utmost professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage the CEO’s complex diary and daily schedule to maximize productivity.
  • Handle high-level correspondence, including email management and the drafting of professional briefs.
  • Conduct thorough editing, proofreading, and formatting of the CEO’s manuscripts and documents.
  • Coordinate comprehensive travel itineraries, including visa processing, passport renewals, and airport protocol. Accompany the CEO on business travel, occasionally at short notice.
  • Supervise logistical details during transit, including airport protocols and the loading/offloading of luggage.
  • Manage and execute various special projects and corporate events; collaborate effectively with cross-functional staff.
  • Attend events, functions, and meetings alongside the CEO, or represent the CEO independently when authorized.
  • Conduct targeted research and draft speeches or presentations for the CEO’s public and professional engagements.
  • Execute other strategic or administrative tasks as directed by the CEO.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / B.A.) in Business Administration, International Relations, Mass Communication, English, or any related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of proven experience in a similar executive support or personal assistant role.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced administrative, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sharp proofreading skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Absolute commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong project, event, and logistics/protocol management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Gross Salary: N3,744,000 – N4,032,000
