Logistics Manager

Summary
- The Logistics Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain and distribution operations.
- This role ensures timely delivery of goods, efficient inventory management, and cost‑effective logistics solutions while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management:
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
- Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align logistics with business needs.
Transportation & Distribution:
- Supervise fleet operations and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely dispatch and distribution of goods.
- Negotiate contracts with transport providers.
Inventory & Warehouse Oversight:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Implement warehouse best practices for storage and handling.
- Coordinate audits and cycle counts to prevent discrepancies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and train logistics staff to achieve performance targets.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and evaluate team performance.
- Promote adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare logistics performance reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
- Implement health, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields
- 4–7 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and logistics software.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
