Fund Accounting Officer (Male)

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fund Accounting Function
• Managing a strong control environment and ensure all procedures are in compliance with Lotus Capital Limited and departmental policies
• Develop strong relationships with the internal clients, and provide superior client service to both internal and external clients
• Proper valuation of Private Client portfolios, Public funds, foreign client portfolio.
• Weekly preparation and presentation of Investment Committee Report (ICR) to the Portfolio Management team.
• Monthly & Quarterly submission of the fund’s management account and MPR to the CFO.
• Ensure all the Half year report (June & December) for the PCs are prepared and dispatched to the RMS before 7th day of the month of July and January.
• Prepare and file all the statutory return (Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annual and annually) to the relevant regulatory authorities (SEC, NSE, Trustees etc.) 5 working days before the deadline.
• Present an error free financial data for the annual audit within one week after the end of the financial year and complete the annual fund audit within 5 weeks after the end of the financial year.
• Coordinate all the scheduled and un-scheduled examination of the fund records by the regulators
• Work with the portfolio managers and the treasury unit to ensure that there is no idle fund in the portfolio assets.
• Participate and lead business unit projects, corporate initiatives. Be viewed as a leader Lotus Capital.
• Work closely with various business units - Investment & Research Department, legal team etc and partner with Business development teams to meet client deadlines and identify efficiencies
• Work with IT units to resolve any issue that affect the operation and improve processes.
• Work closely with legal unit to ensure all the funds do not contravene any regulatory rule or guidelines. Respond to all queries raised by the regulators and other stakeholders
• Daily administration of the fund valuation and pricing
• Review and validation of all the daily postings unto the system to ensure an error free posting of financial transactions.

Secondary Role:

• Weekly preparation and submission of the performance report of all the portfolios under management to the Portfolio Management committee
• Excellent customer service and good relationship management with the Business Support/Development Unit.
• Proper coordination of the annual fund audit and any scheduled or un-scheduled examination of fund records that may be required by the regulators
• Handling of Investee relations with the Investment and Research Department
• Smooth coordination of the funds audit. Zero audit adjustment
• Response to any enquiries or deficiency letter forwarded by the regulators or any other stakeholders within 48 hours
• Fund performance reporting to the clients, managements and regulators.
• Should be able to fully stand-in for the CFO
