Compliance & Internal Control Officer

Job Summary 

• We are seeking a Compliance & Internal Control Officer to support the implementation of effective compliance, risk management, internal control, and assurance processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the company’s compliance and internal control framework.
• Support risk management and compliance processes across the organisation.
• Identify business risks and develop appropriate preventive and mitigating strategies.
• Conduct risk and control assessments to identify weaknesses and areas requiring improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of control testing and assurance processes.
• Conduct control testing and document findings and conclusions.
• Support fraud detection and prevention by monitoring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Analyse business performance and monitor key areas of risk.
• Identify areas where additional controls are required to mitigate fraud and operational risks.
• Identify reporting gaps and work with business units to develop reports that meet business needs.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry developments, and professional standards.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports on compliance and internal control activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–6 years’ relevant experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience with data protection regulations and compliance is mandatory.
• Experience in Information Technology Controls is an advantage.
• Knowledge of internal controls, governance, risk assessment, audit, and assurance processes.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
