Head of Accounts

About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Head of Accounts to lead and manage the organisation's accounting operations — ensuring accurate financial records, effective financial controls, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and smooth management of the accounts function.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day activities of the Accounts Department
• Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of financial transactions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and account management
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures
• Monitor expenses, budgets, and financial performance
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate audits and provide required documentation
• Supervise and support the Accounts team
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN) highly desirable
• Minimum of 5–7 years' relevant accounting experience, with supervisory/managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, taxation, and internal controls
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Must reside in Ajah or its environs

Salary and Benefits

• N300,000 - N350,000 / Month
