Job Summary
- We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our travel and immigration consulting business.
- The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure statutory compliance, and provide reliable financial reporting to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily bank transactions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial statements.
- Track client payments, outstanding invoices, and follow up on overdue balances.
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations — PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, and NSITF.
- Manage petty cash and ensure all expenditures are properly documented and authorised.
- Support budgeting and cash flow monitoring, flagging variances to management promptly.
- Liaise with auditors and provide all required documentation during audit exercises.
- Maintain proper filing of all financial documents and transaction records.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 – 3 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Part or full qualification with ICAN or ACCA is required or in view.
- Understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of accounting software — QuickBooks, Sage, or equiv
