- We are seeking a results-driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to lead customer acquisition, drive strategic partnerships, and grow revenue across both B2B and B2C channels.
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring customers, building strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth for Beem Farm Foods.
- The ideal candidate should have proven experience in business development or sales, particularly within the food, FMCG, hospitality, or HORECA sectors, with the ability to build strong client relationships and consistently achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Lagos and surrounding markets.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through field prospecting, referrals, networking, and market intelligence.
- Convert prospects into long-term customers.
B2B Sales & Partnerships:
- Acquire and manage HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés/Catering) accounts.
- Develop partnerships with supermarkets, retail outlets, event planners, caterers, distributors, and corporate organizations.
- Negotiate supply agreements and long-term contracts.
- Expand distribution channels for Beem Farm Foods products.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
- Ensure excellent customer service and encourage repeat business.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Sales Growth:
- Drive monthly sales targets and revenue growth.
- Increase customer acquisition and market share.
- Upsell and cross-sell across the company's product portfolio.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies to improve market position.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with the Operations, Production, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business opportunities.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management.
- Experience within the food processing, FMCG, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or agricultural sector is highly preferred.
- Experience selling to HORECA businesses will be an added advantage.
