Asset Finance Sales Specialists

Job Summary

• We are seeking a dynamic and target-driven Asset Finance Sales Specialist to drive the acquisition of customers seeking financing solutions for assets such as vehicles, equipment, machinery, and other business or personal-use assets.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, generating leads, presenting suitable asset finance solutions, managing the sales process, and maintaining strong customer relationships while achieving assigned sales and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for asset finance products.
• Generate leads through direct sales, referrals, networking, partnerships, digital channels, and field activities.
• Prospect for individuals, SMEs, corporate organizations, and other potential customers requiring asset financing.
• Promote asset finance solutions for vehicles, equipment, machinery, technology, and other approved assets.
• Understand customers' financing needs, business activities, cash flows, and asset requirements.
• Explain financing options, repayment structures, terms, conditions, and applicable fees to prospective customers.
• Prepare and present appropriate financing proposals to qualified customers.
• Manage prospects through the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to application, approval, documentation, and disbursement.
• Work closely with credit, risk, operations, legal, and documentation teams to facilitate timely processing of customer applications.
• Follow up on pending applications and ensure all required documentation is obtained.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, dealerships, equipment suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Develop partnerships with vehicle dealers, equipment vendors, manufacturers, and other asset suppliers to generate referral opportunities.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging asset-financing opportunities and customer segments.
• Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, market trends, and customer preferences.
• Cross-sell relevant financial products and services to existing customers where appropriate.
• Maintain an accurate database of prospects, customers, sales activities, applications, and conversions.
• Ensure all sales and customer onboarding activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular sales pipeline, customer acquisition, revenue, and performance reports.
• Achieve and consistently exceed assigned sales, disbursement, and revenue targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / HND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in asset finance, lending, consumer finance, banking, financial services, equipment finance, automotive finance, or related sales roles.
• Proven experience in financial-product sales, business development, or relationship management.
• Good understanding of lending and asset-financing processes.
• Knowledge of credit assessment, loan documentation, repayment structures, and basic financial analysis is an advantage.
• Strong prospecting and customer-acquisition abilities.
• Proven ability to work with and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a target-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales-management systems.
