Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct internal or external audits.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documents.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
- Identify financial discrepancies, errors, or fraudulent activities.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
- Discuss audit findings with management and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Evaluate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
- Maintain accurate audit documentation and working papers.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, auditing practices, and regulatory requirements.
