Graduate Trainee (Supply Chain Officer)

About the Role

• We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee – Supply Chain (Warehouse Officer) to join our growing Supply Chain team.
• The successful candidate will support day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory management, stock reconciliation, documentation, and logistics coordination while gaining hands-on experience across key areas of supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions.
• Assist with regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure goods are properly labelled, stored, and arranged in accordance with warehouse procedures.
• Prepare and maintain relevant warehouse documentation, including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), dispatch records, stock cards, and inventory reports.
• Work closely with procurement, sales, finance, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth movement of materials and products.
• Assist in investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and warehouse operating procedures.
• Support the implementation of proper housekeeping and warehouse organisation standards.
• Assist with the use and maintenance of inventory/warehouse management systems.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing losses, improving efficiency, and optimising inventory.
• Prepare routine warehouse and inventory reports for management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain/Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Must have completed the NYSC programme and possess a valid NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience in warehousing, inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or a related role.
• Good understanding of basic warehouse and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop a long-term career in Supply Chain.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
