Description
- We are seeking a compassionate, patient, responsible, and professionally trained Special Needs Care Assistant to provide dedicated live-in care and support to an individual with special needs.
- The successful candidate will provide day-to-day assistance, companionship, personal support, and help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care and support.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities where required.
- Support routines, mobility, meals, and other day-to-day needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and report changes in behaviour, health, or general wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Follow care instructions and established routines.
- Work respectfully with family members and other professionals involved in the individual's care.
Requirements
- Relevant training or experience in special needs care, disability support, caregiving, nursing, social care, or a related field.
- Previous experience caring for a person with special needs is highly desirable.
- Patient, compassionate, trustworthy, and emotionally mature.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a live-in caregiver.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity and privacy of the individual.
- Basic first-aid or healthcare training will be an advantage.
