Description
- A Project Architect is responsible for overseeing the design and execution of building projects, ensuring architectural plans are functional, compliant, and aligned with client expectations.
- They collaborate with in-house Architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to guide design implementation, address construction challenges, and maintain quality standards.
- The role involves reviewing drawings, conducting site visits, and coordinating design adjustments throughout the construction process. Project Architects help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet aesthetic and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural designs, plans, and specifications for construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and client requirements
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and project managers to translate design concepts into buildable solutions
- Review and modify construction documents, including drawings, schematics, and 3D models, based on feedback and project needs
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, gather measurements, and ensure design intent is being implemented accurately
- Oversee design integration with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for project feasibility
- Participate in project meetings, presentations, and client consultations to communicate design progress and resolve issues
- Manage design documentation, revisions, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all design work adheres to sustainability, safety, accessibility, and environmental standards
- Coordinate with contractors during construction to address design-related challenges and provide clarifications
- Stay updated on architectural trends, materials, construction technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
