Accountant / Internal Control Officer

About the Role
- Med-Vical International is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accountant/Internal Control Officer to support financial reporting while strengthening the organization’s internal control environment.
- The successful candidate will help ensure financial accuracy, safeguard organizational assets, and promote compliance with policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare periodic financial reports.
- Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, and journal entries.
- Monitor revenue collection and expenditure.
- Conduct routine internal control reviews and compliance audits.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
- Verify inventory, fixed assets, and cash management processes.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and prepare management reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress) is an advantage.
- 3–5 years’ relevant accounting and/or internal control experience.
- Healthcare experience is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Accountability and integrity are a must.
