Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic business initiatives, ensure adherence to industry rules and regulations, and drive revenue growth in the Shagamu/Ogijo Cluster of Ogun State.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute business strategies to grow market share and revenue within the cluster.
Ensure compliance with electricity sector rules, regulations, and policies as stipulated by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and other governing bodies.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships in the electricity distribution market.
Monitor regulatory changes, analyze their impact on operations, and implement required adjustments.
Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, local communities, and business partners.
Oversee customer engagement initiatives aimed at improving satisfaction, retention, and service delivery.
Prepare business performance reports and present insights to senior management.
Lead and mentor the commercial and business development teams within the cluster.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or any related field.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in business development or regulatory affairs within the power, utilities, or energy sector.
Sound understanding of electricity market operations, compliance frameworks, and NERC regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics tools.
