Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Auxiliary Nurse / Sanitation Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to minor health issues of students and staff, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic school environment, and enforcing health and sanitation standards across the school premises.

Key Responsibilities
Auxiliary Nursing Duties:

Provide first aid treatment and respond to minor injuries or illnesses among pupils and staff.
Monitor and document the health condition of students.
Administer prescribed medications as authorized by parents and school management.
Refer serious medical cases to appropriate healthcare facilities when necessary.
Keep accurate health records and maintain medical supplies inventory.
Educate pupils and staff on personal hygiene and basic health practices.

Sanitation Duties:

Oversee and coordinate general cleanliness across the school's classrooms, restrooms, offices, and surrounding environment.
Supervise and guide cleaners and janitorial staff to maintain daily sanitation routines.
Ensure waste disposal is done properly and hygienically.
Carry out periodic inspections to ensure adherence to environmental and health safety standards.
Report and follow up on any identified health hazard or risk within the school compound.

Requirements & Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Auxiliary Nursing, Health Assistant Training, or related field.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 5 years experience in auxiliary nursing or school health services.
Proven experience with sanitation and hygiene practices in a school or institutional setting.
Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or around the Apata area for prompt response and availability.
Good communication skills and ability to relate well with children and staff.
Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
