Fiber Optics Technician

Summary
- Are you passionate about building high-speed fiber networks? We're looking for experienced Fiber Optics Engineers to join our team and support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our fiber infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables.
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) and FTTx networks.
- Perform fiber fault localization using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment.
- Install and maintain GPON network infrastructure.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber networks.
- Support customer installations, activations, and service restoration.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in FTTH/FTTx deployment and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, termination, and testing.
- Knowledge of OSP (Outside Plant), and fiber network architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional certifications in fiber optics are an added advantage.
