Bookkeeper

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and support the day-to-day accounting operations of our food and beverage business.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, monitoring sales and expenses, reconciling accounts, managing invoices and payments, and maintaining accurate records of inventory-related financial transactions.
• The role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and other financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and journals.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, POS records, and other financial accounts regularly.
• Monitor daily cash collections and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Track accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier invoices and payments.
• Assist with payroll preparation and related financial records where required.
• Monitor food, beverage, packaging, and other operational expenses.
• Work with the operations/inventory team to reconcile stock records with financial records.
• Assist in monitoring food and beverage costs, wastage, stock variances, and cost of sales.
• Maintain proper records of purchases and supplier transactions.
• Assist with monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Support the preparation of profit and loss statements, cash-flow reports, and other management reports.
• Ensure financial documents are properly filed and readily available for audit and review.
• Identify discrepancies, errors, unusual transactions, or potential losses and report them promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and applicable tax requirements.
• Assist management and the finance team with financial analysis and other accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an OND with 1-2 years experience.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 / Month.
