VFAxAPP is seeking its founding Product Designer to build an AI-native recruitment screening platform. This role involves establishing the design system and user experience from scratch, leveraging AI design tools for rapid iteration and significant impact.
You'll be the foundational Product Designer, building the entire design system and process from the ground up for an innovative AI-native platform. You know how to leverage cutting-edge AI design tools to rapidly prototype and iterate, driving real user impact from day one in a fast-paced environment with direct influence on product vision.
What you'll do
- Transform product briefs into wireframes, mockups, and interaction specifications.
- Establish the foundational design system including core components, color, and typography.
- Redesign key user interfaces like the public shortlist view for high impact.
- Design multiple features concurrently, creating clickable prototypes for validation.
- Conduct usability tests with real users and iterate designs based on feedback.
- Produce clear, annotated specifications for seamless engineering handoff.
Requirements
- You've mastered UX/UI fundamentals and can apply them to complex product challenges.
- You are a power user of AI design tools like v0 or Lovable, using them to accelerate your workflow, not just accept defaults.
- You think in systems, creating reusable components and patterns for scalability.
- You have a strong portfolio demonstrating your experience with interactive product design projects.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where you're building foundational elements from scratch.
- You are adept at gathering user feedback and iterating quickly to deliver impactful solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience designing for recruitment, HR tech, or assessment platforms.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS).
- Portfolio examples showcasing before/after of AI-assisted design refinement.
