Marketing Officer / Deposit Mobiliser

Role Summary

• Our client is seeking a proactive and target-driven Marketing Officer / Deposit Mobiliser to drive customer acquisition, deposit growth, and awareness of the institution's financial products and services
• The successful candidate will actively engage prospective customers, develop business relationships, mobilize deposits, and contribute to achieving branch and organizational growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
Deposit Mobilisation & Business Development:

• Identify and develop new opportunities for deposit mobilisation from individuals, SMEs, corporate customers, and other target segments.
• Actively promote savings, deposit, and other financial products to prospective and existing customers.
• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective deposit customers.
• Achieve assigned weekly and monthly deposit mobilisation targets.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and existing customers to convert opportunities into deposits.

Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management :

• Acquire new customers through direct marketing, referrals, networking, field visits, and other approved channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer financial needs and recommend suitable products and services.
• Maintain regular contact with key customers to encourage retention and increased deposits.
• Generate referrals and leverage existing customer relationships to expand the customer base.

Field Marketing & Market Development :

• Conduct regular market visits to identify prospective customers and business opportunities.
• Research local markets, businesses, communities, and customer segments to identify deposit mobilisation opportunities.
• Participate in promotional campaigns, customer engagement activities, and business development initiatives.
• Monitor competitor activities and provide relevant market intelligence to management.

Sales Reporting & Target Management :

• Maintain accurate records of customer prospects, leads, deposits, and business development activities.
• Prepare regular reports on deposit mobilisation, customer acquisition, and sales performance.
• Track progress against assigned targets and develop strategies to address performance gaps.
• Ensure all marketing and customer acquisition activities comply with approved policies and procedures.

Requirements
Education:

• HND or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, or any related discipline.
• Relevant professional certification in Marketing, Sales, or Customer Relationship Management is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, deposit mobilisation, business development, microfinance, banking, or financial services.
• Proven experience working with sales or deposit targets.
• Experience in field marketing and customer acquisition is strongly preferred.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets, and operate effectively in a field-based environment.

Remuneration
N200,000 – N300,000 Monthly Gross + Commission.
