Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance and exit points and ensure proper access control for staff, guests, and visitors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the restaurant, lounge, parking areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Check bags and screen guests professionally where required, in line with company policy.
• Maintain a security logbook and accurately record incidents, visitors, and activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches.
• Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to company property.
• Ensure CCTV systems are monitored and report any suspicious activity to management.
• Assist with crowd control and maintain order during busy periods and events.
• Support opening and closing procedures to ensure premises are properly secured.
• Liaise with management, police, and emergency services when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing safety and security rules.
• Report safety hazards, faulty equipment, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

• Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Security Officer, Guard, or similar role is required.
• Experience working in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Valid security license/training certificate is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of security procedures, surveillance, and emergency response.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and work shifts.
• Alert, responsible, and professional with good communication and observation skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
