Delivery Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Pick up prepared food orders from the restaurant and deliver them accurately and on time to customers.
- Verify orders before departure to ensure correctness, proper packaging, and completeness.
- Maintain food safety and quality during transportation, ensuring meals arrive fresh and in good condition.
- Use GPS/navigation tools to plan efficient delivery routes and meet delivery timelines.
- Interact with customers professionally during delivery, confirm orders, and collect payments where required.
- Process cash, POS and transfer payments accurately and reconcile daily delivery collections.
- Report delivery issues such as wrong addresses, customer unavailability, or payment challenges to management promptly.
- Ensure the delivery vehicle/bike is properly maintained, clean, and fueled for daily operations.
- Follow all road safety, traffic regulations, and company safety standards while on the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, payments collected, mileage, and other assigned logs.
- Provide feedback on customer comments, delivery delays, and areas for service improvement.
- Support restaurant operations during peak periods when not on delivery.
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Officer, Rider, Driver, or similar role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Lagos and surrounding areas / routes is required.
- Experience with food delivery, logistics, or courier services is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle/bike maintenance and road safety.
