Role Description

• The Accountant role at Kachelan Pharma-Research Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Abeokuta. The Accountant will manage daily financial transactions, including posting entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, handling accounts payable and receivable, and supporting payroll and tax compliance. The role also involves generating regular financial reports for management, assisting with audits, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and relevant financial regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, and other spreadsheet applications).
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to Nigerian businesses.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Ability to work on-site in Abeokuta, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or agribusiness sectors is beneficial.
