Asset Recovery Officer (Bike)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to customers with overdue accounts or outstanding obligations.
• Locate, trace and recover company-financed motorcycles and other assigned assets where recovery is authorized.
• Follow up with customers through physical visits, phone calls and other approved communication channels.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements with customers in line with company policies.
• Conduct customer and asset verification during field operations.
• Maintain accurate records of customer visits, recovery activities, payment commitments and recovered assets.
• Identify difficult-to-reach customers and carry out appropriate skip-tracing activities.
• Submit daily and weekly recovery reports to the supervisor.
• Meet or exceed assigned monthly recovery and collection targets.
• Maintain proper custody and documentation of recovered assets until handover.
• Build professional relationships with customers while handling difficult recovery situations calmly.
• Escalate disputed, fraudulent or high-risk cases to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work with relevant internal teams to resolve recovery issues and improve portfolio performance.
• Ensure all recovery activities are conducted professionally, ethically and in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Safely operate and maintain the assigned motorcycle and comply with all road safety requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/OND; HND or Bachelor's Degree is an added advantage.
• Must be able to ride a motorcycle/bike.
• Valid motorcycle rider's licence/permit is an advantage.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in asset recovery, debt collection, field collections, loan recovery, dispatch riding, sales or a related field.
• Good knowledge of the assigned location and surrounding communities.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a field territory effectively.
• Strong target-driven mindset and resilience.
• Ability to use a smartphone for GPS navigation, reporting and communication.
• Good record-keeping and basic computer skills.
• High level of honesty, integrity and accountability.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable working extensively in the field.
