Account Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to join our transport firm.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, monitoring transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and have 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
• Record daily income and expenses and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Assist in payroll processing and statutory remittances.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and other accounting-related tasks.

Requirements

• ND / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional accounting certification is an added advantage.
