Magento Developer (Intermediate, Specialist, Consultant)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Magento applications and modules
• Integrate payment gateways, APIs, and third-party services
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability
• Troubleshoot defects and application issues
• Collaborate with UI/UX, QA, and business teams during delivery
• Support deployment and release management activities
• Ensure secure coding and platform governance standards
• Maintain technical documentation and implementation guides
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
• Strong communication and analytical capability
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Working effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Working under defined timelines and adapting to changing priorities and demand
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and version control
• Understanding of quality assurance and root cause analysis practices
• Ability to maintain technical documentation, release notes, and operational artefacts
• Experience working within governance and quality frameworks
• Ability to implement secure coding and configuration practices
• Understanding of secure payment integrations and data handling
• Ability to support multiple eCommerce initiatives and releases
• Ability to quickly onboard into evolving business and platform requirements
• Understanding of scalability, security, reliability, and performance considerations
• Ability to follow coding and documentation standards

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, Business, or equivalent).
• 7–15+ years of relevant professional experience depending on role level (Intermediate, Specialist, or Consultant).
• Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Must have completed NYSC
• Demonstrated experience working in enterprise scale digital, IT, or technology environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban), and cross functional collaboration
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Demonstrated experience working in enterprise digital or eCommerce environments
• Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, and release validation
• Experience with Magento, APIs, integrations, and enterprise platforms
