Pharmacy Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and attend to customers and patients professionally.
- Assist in dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Receive and process prescriptions according to established procedures.
- Label, package, and organize medications.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and restocking medications.
- Ensure proper storage of drugs and pharmaceutical products.
- Handle sales transactions and issue receipts where applicable.
- Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Assist with administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, HND, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies or related healthcare training is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of medications and pharmacy operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy and record-keeping skills.
- Good organizational and inventory management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
