The Opportunity

YellowDoor Hotels is a boutique hotel in Abuja built for business executives and discerning leisure guests. Our restaurant and bar, The Living Room, celebrates local cuisine with premium service standards. We're hiring Waiters who instinctively read a room, move with quiet urgency, and make every guest feel genuinely looked after - from the first greeting to the final bill.

Your Mission

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and introduce daily specials confidently
• Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system without errors
• Serve food and beverages while maintaining table presentation to hotel standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and resolve concerns on the spot
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to keep service times within 15 minutes
• Process cash and card payments securely and assist with table setup during peak periods

• Prior hotel or fine dining experience
• Knowledge of local Nigerian cuisine

The Non-Negotiables

• Cannot maintain 98% order accuracy under busy service conditions
• Avoids guest complaints rather than resolving them directly
• Handles cash or card transactions carelessly or dishonestly
• Unwilling to work rotating morning, afternoon, and evening shifts

The Purpose of This Role

To deliver a consistently excellent dining experience that earns guest loyalty and drives restaurant revenue at The Living Room.

What Success Looks Like

By month 2, guest satisfaction sits at 90%+. Order accuracy holds at 98%+ from day one. Upsell contribution grows 5% month-on-month from month 3. Service times stay within 15 minutes across all shifts.
