Experienced Hotel Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and customer-focused Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel and ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, service quality, staff performance, and profitability.
• The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across all departments, manage operational challenges effectively, and ensure the hotel operates efficiently in line with company policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, Laundry, and other operational departments.
• Lead, supervise, motivate, and evaluate hotel staff to maintain high standards of performance and professionalism.
• Ensure excellent guest service and promptly resolve guest complaints, concerns, and special requests.
• Monitor room occupancy, reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and overall guest experience.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, policies, and service standards.
• Monitor departmental budgets, expenses, revenue, and overall financial performance.
• Work with department heads to improve operational efficiency and control costs.
• Ensure all hotel facilities, rooms, equipment, and public areas are clean, safe, functional, and properly maintained.
• Coordinate recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, licensing, and hospitality regulations.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, procurement, and proper use of hotel supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and review operational reports and provide management with recommendations for improvement.
• Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers, corporate clients, travel partners, and other stakeholders.
• Support sales and marketing activities aimed at increasing occupancy, revenue, and the hotel's market presence.
• Handle emergencies and operational issues calmly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel departments and facilities to ensure standards are consistently maintained.
• Ensure the hotel maintains a professional image and delivers a consistently high-quality guest experience.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel management or senior hotel operations, preferably in a reputable hotel.
• Proven experience managing multiple hotel departments and supervising large teams.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and front-office procedures.
• Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, revenue management, and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation and ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Proficiency in hotel management/PMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
